This MV like egotistic and others are just so well produced I always suggest people watch both Live because no one does live as well as they do and the MVs because they are just so good. The video to watch is the Aya/Dingga aggrabah version, when you see them enter the stage you will understand, says everything.

I'm going to be screwed when we get to New Beginning. Was nearly having to add another cigarette paper but this gets top spot for the atmospherics (a very different approach than a lot of their stuff, even now): 1. Bye My Tears 2a. Be OK 2b. Key 3. EverGreen They don't write their own stuff until the 3rd album, but it's hard to imaguine that they didn't add their own flare to even these first few tracks (think Kanami's solo in this - that's got to be entirely her doing, hasn't it?)

Well, BAND MAIKO is the only band who can compete with BAND MAID ;) . BAND MAID was featured with some fairly long cameos on the Netflix film KATE. They played CHOOSE ME in a club and a monster car tried to do away with KATE when she tried to turn the radio off when it was playing BLOOMING ... at least that is the way I remember it ;) .

The Netflix reference may be from the action thriller "Kate" filmed in Tokyo. Band-Maid had two songs featured in a scene from the film that took place in a night club. They were playing on stage. The two songs played in the film were "Choose Me" and "Blooming". They were two of their early written and recorded songs.

Their early work is just as relevant today as their current work is. This is the proof of just how good these girls are. From their very first song they have been tighter than a Funeral Drum and loving every moment they share. This song is near the top for me as well, and it's my wife's favorite of theirs. Listen to the original for a comparison. Another all female Korean rock band, DIH, also covered it. But, no disrespect to Maya, Rolling Quartz has the best version in my opinion. DIH has a great sound, but I don't think they did nearly as well on this cover. When I was just a wee lad growing up, I had an older sister who listened to ABBA incessantly, so I ended up knowing every one of their songs via osmosis. This makes me want to borrow all of her albums. Small wonder the songwriting team are Swedish.
